Medium Duty Wire Rope Hoists are built using a modular architecture, which makes repairs easier and faster. Low headroom, spur/helical gears running on oil bath lubricated antifriction ball bearings, motors conforming to standards, "fail to safe" breaks that automatically operate in the event of any power failure, tested wire rope, forged hooks conforming, and push button stations operating at step down voltage of 110 V or 24 V are some of the special features. The precision hob cut helical and spur gears of the Electric Wire Rope Hoist gear train have a hardness range of 250 to 300 BHN. They are mounted on bearings and are lubricated in an oil bath.
The rope drum is constructed from M.S. Seamless tubing with spiral grooves that have been machine-cut and installed on self-aligning bearings. For the rope to sit perfectly in the grooves of the drum, a rope guide will be given. On the hoisting motion, there is an electro-magnetic FAIL to SAFE type brake that guarantees absolute safety even in the event of a power outage. There are limit switches available for lifting and over-lowering. Sahjanand Engineering Medium Duty Wire Rope Hoists can also be constructed with micro speed arrangements (10% of normal hoisting speed), flexible trolleys to manoeuvre around tight spaces, high speeds & high lifts, and hoists suitable for steel mill duty, foundries, and chemical plants in order to meet specific requirements.

MARUTI make Medium Duty Wire rope hoists are light weight yet are rugged in construction. The wire rope hoists comprised of steel rope drum that is machined accurately with grooves for supporting wire rope. The rope drum is connected to motor Maruti make helical gearbox. Fail safe electromagnetic brake provided on the input side of drive to prevent accidental lowering of load in the event of power failure.
Steel wire rope with fiber core is supplied as a standard design. Stainless steel wire rope with Stainless steel sheave and bush bearings are supplied for corrosive atmosphere as per customer’s requirement.
The trolley moves on straight track in standard design. Bogie type trolley is provided to negotiate curves when so required by customer.
Motors are Sq cage, totally enclosed fan cooled type with class F insulation. Upper and lower hook travel limit switch is provided as a standard feature.
In the standard design the DOL contactor starters are provided for motors. VVVF drives are supplied as per customer’s requirement.
